On October 30th, the primary school department of Yangxi School in Zhili Town, Huzhou City welcomed a special group of guests - international students from Huzhou University. They tasted Huzhou's characteristic tea drink, smoked bean tea, together with students from Yangxi School.
Fumigated bean tea is a traditional local product along the the Taihu Lake Lake for entertaining guests. At the event site, teacher Ji Huili of Yangxi School introduced the origin of smoked bean tea. Subsequently, international students and students from Yangxi School worked together to peel and roast edamame, experiencing the process of making smoked bean tea.
Before pouring tea, you should first add the smoked bean tea leaves, and you can also add some sesame seeds and carrots, so that the brewed tea is better, said Wu Songze, a student from Class 502, as he brewed tea.
When cups of fragrant smoked bean tea are presented to international students, they are attracted by this unique beverage. The green smoked beans, orange red shredded carrots, golden orange peel and other ingredients complement each other, making them particularly vibrant. The international students observed the smoked beans in their cups with great interest, picked up their teacups, took a sip, and felt the unique flavor of the smoked bean tea.
OUALIL LAHCEN, an international student from Morocco, said, The taste of smoked bean tea is so wonderful. In my years studying in Huzhou, this is my first time experiencing the unique food culture of Huzhou up close.
During the event, VALIYEVA MARZIYYA from Azerbaijan also introduced Azerbaijani cuisine to students at Yangxi School. Wow! The rice from Azerbaijan looks really delicious! Said Liu Zihan, a student from Class 502, excitedly.
