Our school has been qualified for foreign student enrollment since 2002, and hundreds of international students from the United States, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Yemen, Romania and other countries have come to our school for exchange and learning. In 2012, the first batch of professional international students graduated smoothly from our university and obtained a bachelor's degree. In the same year, our school began admitting the first batch of formal education international students; The International College was established in 2013. At present, the International College is mainly responsible for the teaching and management of foreign students studying abroad, the construction and management of international majors and courses, and the management of Sino foreign cooperative education projects.
The International College currently offers Chinese preparatory courses (beginner and intermediate) to enhance the Chinese language proficiency of foreign students and lay the foundation for them to enter the professional field of study. At the same time, the college also accepts short-term international students from multiple countries to come to our school for exchange and learning every year.
After long-term efforts, our teaching of international students has formed its own characteristics: teaching in small classes, professionalization of teachers, standardization of management, and serialization of activities. We have also formed a team of Chinese international education teachers with reasonable subject structure and age level, good professional quality, and rich teaching experience. All teachers in our school have a master's or doctoral degree, and over 80% have rich overseas teaching experience. Teachers have achieved fruitful results in scientific research on teaching Chinese as a second language/foreign language. In recent years, more than 100 papers and more than 10 monographs have been published in publications such as Language Research, World Chinese Language Teaching, Language Teaching and Research, and Chinese Language Learning. Undertake more than 30 scientific research projects, including more than 10 provincial and ministerial level projects.
At present, the college has established friendly cooperative relationships with higher education institutions in countries such as the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Italy, France, South Korea, and Japan.
