East China Regional Preliminary Competition. On 13th April, the 2nd Chinese Bridge Global Chinese Language Competition for Foreigners - Storytelling (East China Preliminary Round) was held at Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology (HUST). Lantian, a Russian international student from Huzhou University, won the Excellent Style Award among 113 Chinese learners from all over the world, and was one of 10 students to receive this award.
This year's Chinese Bridge Global Chinese Language Competition for Foreigners - Storytelling was hosted by the Ministry of Education's Center for Sino-Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation and organised by the Chinese Language Alliance/Wuzhou Hanfeng Network Technology (Beijing) Co. The aim was for them to tell their own Chinese stories and demonstrate their deep understanding and love of the Chinese language and culture.
The award was not only a recognition of Lantian's personal efforts and the hard work of her teacher, Professor Song Shanshan, but also a full demonstration of Huzhou University's excellent results in Chinese language education and the high level of overall quality of international students, increasing the University's visibility and influence on the global stage of Chinese language education.
