Recently, the awarding ceremony of Zhejiang provincial government scholarship for foreign students of 2019 was held at 7-303 lecture hall. Jiang Yunliang, deputy secretary of the university party committee, and Ye Jinyun, vice president of the university, office of educational administration, office of graduate student, international college, office of student, office of security, logistics service center, responsible person of relevant graduate training unit attended the ceremony.
Jiang Yunliang firstly announced the 60 scholarship winners that are from college of literature, school of social development and management, commercial college, engineering college, information engineering college and art college and he showed his congratulations to the award-winning students.
In his speech, Ye Jinyun hoped the winners are diligent in their studies and keen to seek knowledge；always be grateful and repay the society；respect each other and make common progress. He also hoped that more students could reap the happiness of studying in the process of studying hard.
Ann，a student from Kazakhstan, the winner of the provincial government scholarship which is set for the international students who study in China, as the representative of the winning students, said that today's honor was hard-won. She will continue to work hard to learn professional knowledge well so that she can add luster to Huzhou University and win honor for herself.
Since 2009, Zhejiang provincial government has established awards in three categories each year. It gives the outstanding graduate students、undergraduate students and long-term students 30000, 20000 or 6000 yuan a year as a reward respectively to improve the international students’ consciousness of self-improvement, and then promoting the international students to know China, be friendly to China, love China, make an effort to learn knowledge well and contribute to the constructions of China and their own countries.
It's known that since the Zhejiang provincial government scholarship has been established in 2009, there were 135 international students in our school won this prize, and the prize amount up to 2 million and 66 thousand yuan. This year, the prize amount of our school’s provincial government scholarship is more than one million, which breaks out to a new high and comes out top in Zhejiang universities.In addition, in order to encourage more international students to put more time and energy into studying and volunteer activity, relevant selection conditions have been added to the provincial government scholarship selection system of our school, such as certificate of HSK, provincial subject competition award, experience in International Students’ Union, culture and sports activities as well as volunteer activities at school level and so on, in this way to create a good and competitive campus atmosphere.
