The theme Lecture on "Remote Thinking of Qingming" and the First Chinese Food Training Course Activity was Held by the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages.

OnApril 4th, the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages held a lecture with the theme of "Remote thinkingofQingming", and launched the first Chinese food training course activity.

On the lecture, Rafik Abasov, foreign dean of Confucius Institute andChen Xiaozhen, the Chinese teacher from Huzhou University, introduced the history and cultural connotation of Qingming Festivalin details.


        Afterthe lecture,the first Chinese food training course was held in the Language Center of Azerbaijan University of Languages. And Chinese food-steamed stuffed bun was the theme of it. The teachers of Confucius Institute explained the anecdotes about steamed stuffed buns while introducing the simple words in Chinese, including the Chinese words of kitchenwareand vegetables. Then the teachers introduced the method of making steamed stuffed buns in details, including mixing, fermenting, rolling and wrapping. After the demonstration, the students couldn't wait to start to make steamed stuffed buns. The scene was full of joy. Finally, the steamed stuffed buns were out of the pan, and the students were delighted.

The teachers of the Confucius Institute also selected the outstanding students of the first food course.The relevant leaders of the university also took part in thisactivity. Li Jihua,theChinese Dean,introducedthe usage of chopsticks to them.
