March 10th, on the occasion of Novruz, an Azerbaijani festival which means the spring is coming, at the invitation of the Buku Yarat Modern Art Center, the teachers and the students in the Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University held a party at the performance hall to celebrate the Spring Festival.
The teachers and the students of Confucius Institute performed wonderful programs sincerely. For example, students played traditional Lion Dance, modern hip-hop dance "Monster", and teachers performed a Beijing song "Rap facial makeup", a solo "Kangdingqingge", a cucurbit flute solo "Bamboo under the moonlight.", Tai Chi, calligraphy and tea art performance, which brought an audio-visual feast to the local audience.
Confucius Institute also designed some wonderful interactive activities，just like introduction and answer of the knowledge about Spring Festival, the guess of meanings of the Chinese characters and some interesting games like clamping the beans, which inspired the audience with great enthusiasm and interest in Chinese culture.
This party ended with the merry song “Happy Chinese New Year” by teachers of Confucius Institute.

The whole party was highly spoken by the Yarat Modern Art Center and the audience. After the party, the audience was reluctant to leave the center and asked the situation of Chinese learning. The director of the Yarat Modern Art Center said that they're willing to co-operate closely with the Confucius Institute to advance the communication between China and Azerbaijan and to promote friendship.
