The Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan language university held a seminar on the 25 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan.
On March 28th, the occasion of the 25 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan, the Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan language university held a seminar on "China Azerbaijan relations: history, modernity and prospects". The students who major in Chinese of Language University and all the teachers of the Confucius Institute participated in this activity.

In the seminar, the Dean of the Confucius Institute of foreign affairs, recalled the history of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Azerbaijan and its development. He pointed out that since the diplomatic relations between the two countries started in April 1992, two countries have carried out extensive cooperations and exchanges in various fields. Azerbaijan, as an important country on the Sea-Land Silk Road, responded positively to the "The Belt and Road" strategy, and rested their hopes—continuing strengthening cooperations between China and Azerbaijan on the younger generation.

Jinsong Li，the counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan， looked back that two heads of a state and the foreign ministers have visited each other during 25 years since the establishment of diplomatic was tied in the statement. With the proposal of “The Belt and Road”.From the end of 2015 to now，the frequency of exchanges visits of top leaders between our two countries even more increased rapidly， which made the relationships between two countries go on the fast traffic lane. Besides, the close contacts of politics，economy and trade also experienced the process that developed from nothing, and developed gradually. Jinsong Li also emphasized that the Republic of Azerbaijan had established two Confucius Institutes, and the number of exchange students of two countries had increased as well. The mission of the times to expand the cooperative space of two countries should be undertaken by young students of two countries.
In the following discussion, the scholars from Azerbaijan explained Dino-arab relations from different angles. Samir Hermidorf, the dean of the Regional Studies and International Relation in Azerbaijan Language University and Falda Asadov, the director of National Institute of Arabia in Institute of oriental Studies expressed the points from the perspectives of foreign policy and Arabia Institute respectively. Asadov especially singled out that “The Belt and Road” were not only the connection among politics and economy, but history and civilization. In the new historical stage, two countries should continue understanding each other and supporting each other, to produce more benign collisions in the mutual recognition of civilization.
Finally, the present guests expressed the best wishes of the friendship between China and Arabia together.
