On the afternoon of October 25th， the vice President of the University of Northern Colorado Teresa McDevitt and others a total of six persons visited our university， specially having a discussion in order to further promotion of two universities' cooperation and communication, etc. The president LIqin Zhang attended the reception. And the relevant chiefs of the Foreign Affairs Office，International College and the College of Teacher Education attended the talks.
Liqin Zhang extended a warm welcome to delegation's visit. He stressed that the internationalization of education work is one of the important three jobs of our university in 2016, the push of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools project is one of the main direction of internationalization of educational work. The cooperation between our university and the University of Northern Colorado are the close and smooth communication, and we hoped to gain breakthrough in Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools project declaration as soon as possible, which will be as an opportunity to launch a wide range of comprehensive cooperation.
Teresa McDevitt expressed thanks for our warm reception, and introduced the latest progress in the field of UNC international exchange in detail. She said that coming to the beautiful city, Huzhou, again made her feel more cordial. She hoped to establish long-term cooperation mechanisms with our university as soon as possible, prelude to the cooperation projects between the two universities, such as cooperation in running schools, exchange of faculties and students, academic communications etc. and promote the success of declaring preschool education of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools project.
During the talks, both sides had a more in-depth discussion about the feasibility of international academic cooperation in sports rehabilitation and primary education and the long and short-term mutual communication of both teachers and students. They also had an agreement on issues about free tuition for both students, intensive English training and opening an English professional course taught by professor for both American and Chinese students.
