The opening ceremony was solemnly held in Confucius Institute of Azerbaijan Language University

On June 24th, our cooperation with Azerbaijan Language University held the Confucius Institute opening ceremony in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Jinsong Li and Zhongchao Tan officials from the Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan, Xubo Shao the director of Asian and African Confucius Institute, Chan Li the Project Officer, Mr. Fahey Ladin Gurbanov the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan ambassador plenipotentiary envoy, Mr. Hossain the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Asian, our principal Liqin Zhang, Dun Yaming Younusuo Schiff principal of Azerbaijan language university, and Chinese businessmen and women and the representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.

Dunyamin Younousov began with a welcoming speech. He expressed warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the coming of all leaders. "I felt much honored that China's second ConfuciusSchool in Azerbaijan can set in our school. Our school had many countries' language centers and the centre of Mandarin is popular among students. The more than twenty years' friendly relation between China and Azerbaijan was fine and it has a good tendency recently so more and more people are willing to Mandarin. We are willing to hold the program of ConfuciusSchool seriously in order to provide a platform to learn Mandarin for more students in Azerbaijan. I hoped that the foundation of ConfuciusSchool can benefit the friendly relation between China and Azerbaijan."

Xubo Shao expressed congratulations to the cooperation of Confucius School of Azerbaijan Language University and Huzhou University and he read Congratulation Letter written by Confucius School's secretary-general of headquarters and Director of the State Office of Han. He noted that under the joint efforts, ConfuciusSchool must be a significant platform where Azerbaijani learns Mandarin and knows China and it can make great contributions to know each other and increase their friendship. And he sincerely wished that ConfuciusSchool will have a favorable wind all the way and make progress constantly.

Li Jinsong expressed his wishes in his speech that Confucius Institute would not only be the platform for two countries’languages and culture exchange but also build a larger platform to promote our friendship so that we could strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, politics and so on. He said Confucius Institute should become a bridgehead of “One Belt and One Road” in Transcaucasia.

In the speech Zhang Liqin introduced the long history of Huzhou and the rich culture of Jiangnan , school’s history , characteristics and all the efforts we have made to carry out internationalcooperation and exchanges. “We cherish a lot the cooperation opportunity with AzerbaijanLanguageUniversity and we will give full support to all kinds of work about Confucius Institute. We hope that we can carry out all-round cooperation in aspects of teachers and students communication and academic exchange. We believe this cooperation platform is able to open a new chapter in China and Azerbaijan educational & cultural exchanges, further push forward the friendly cooperative relations and make new brilliant contributions for educational and cultural exchanges! At the same time, this platform will be put into a good use in comprehensive fields, such as economics, diplomacy, politics and so on. It shall also make due contributions to promote China and Azerbaijan friendship!

In the ceremony, the two schools principals represent the two sides signed the "China Huzhou normal college with Azerbaijan Language University about Azerbaijan the Confucius institute at the University of the Execution of the agreement”. Two school ‘s teachers and students with excellent programs expressed great congratulations to the result that Confucius institute was established. It is reported, the Confucius institute of Azerbaijan language university is the only Confucius institute that opening by Zhejiang province in Transcaucasia region. smooth opening of the Confucius institute at the Azerbaijan language university , marks our university comprehensive connected with B&R, opened outer Caucasus to Chinese international education, based on the local culture with Chinese characteristics, the integration of scientific research, economic and trade exchanges and cooperation in all fields, such a new chapter in the history, to promote international influence of Zhejiang's university and the spread of Chinese culture is of great significance.
