Recently, the Vice Secretary of the Party Jianping Huang, led a four-fellow delegation and made a friendly working visit from 29th, Nov to 6th, Dec to Western Illinois University, Pai Chai University and Woosong University.

Western Illinois University was built in 1899, and it is a prestigious public university in the Midwest. Huhzou University Delegation received grand hospitality from the Principal Dr. Thomas and the Head of International Affairs Office Dr. Carter. In the beginning, Mr. Huang introduced Huzhou University’s academic characteristics and international programs, expressed the hope of developing mutual cooperation, including discipline building, staff and students exchanging and other international affairs. Meanwhile, Dr. Carter presented the history of Western Illinois University and its developing situation. He advocated impelling feasible bilateral cooperation as soon as possible. After meeting, Huzhou Univeristy delegation visited the beautiful campus and student life center.

Pai Chai University is an informationalized, international, and regionalized private university. Huzhou University delegation received a warm reception of the President Kim Yong-Hao. Mr. Huang introduced Huzhou University and its development of the past few years, and discussed with President Kim about prospective cooperation in depth. Besides, President Kim promised that he would guide 60 exchange students to participate in winter campus of Huzhou University in Jan, 2016.

Since 2006, the year of being sister schools, Woosong University and Huzhou University have gained great progress in academic development, international cooperation and communication. This year, Huzhou University assigned 12 outstanding students to Solbridge International Business School to participate in 2+2 program. Delegation visited the 12 students and acquainted their study and living conditions. Mr. Huang expected students could study hard, seize the opportunity and fulfill their dreams. During the visit, Huzhou University delegation discussed with Professor Kim Hong-Ji, Dean of Songya Integration Business College and Professor Ning Cuiying, China Program Director of International Exchange Center and other fellows on future international cooperation in depth, which laid a more solid foundation on progressing bilateral communication and cooperation.

The program-oriented visit aimed at promoting Huzhou Univeristy’s international strategies, strengthening the cooperation with overseas universities, and broadening the channels of international education. It laid a substantive platform for carrying out personnel training, subject construction, teacher-student exchanges and cooperation internationally.
