In the morning of October 13th, the president of University of Chester, Timothy Wheeler and other six people visited our school, having the discussion on international communication and cooperation. Liqin Zhang, the president of Huzhou University, relevant leaders from Office of Foreign Affairs, Business College, Engineering College, and International College attended the talks.
Liqin Zhang first extended a warm welcome to Timothy Wheeler and his group, and introduced culture of Huzhou city and basic situation on development scale of our university, discipline construction, international exchanges, and personnel training. He pointed out that University of Chester and our university had a high fit on subject structure and strategic target. Besides, Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run education, student exchange, teacher training, academic and cultural exchanges have a huge potential for cooperation. It’s a good opportunity to deepen and implement cooperative projects between two universities and bring far-reaching significance for establishing a long-term stable relationship of cooperation.
Timothy Wheeler expressed his heartfelt thanks to our warm reception, and then introduced the basic situation and setting of major of University of Chester. He said, University of Chester attached great importance to cooperating with outstanding education of Chinese colleges and universities, and Huzhou University had complete discipline structure and profound cultural background, hoping that the two universities can open up cooperation assoon as possible and establish a close cooperative partnership.
Subsequently, the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation on international exchanges, and discussed on Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run education, cooperation between colleges, exchange of visits between teachers and students, cooperation and cultural communication between ?xml:namespace>
