Held 2015 Opening Ceremony for International Students Successfully

Huzhou University held a grand opening ceremony for International Students on September 30^th. The president  of Huzhou University Zhang Liqin, and leaders from Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Foreign Affairs, Office  of Student Affairs, InternationalCollege and EngineeringCollege, the faculty and all international students of class of 2015 attended this opening ceremony.

Zhang Liqin extended a warm welcome to all the International students. He pointed out that HuzhouUniversity actively carry out international communication and cooperation and with a long history of education for internationalstudents, our university has experienced teachers of international education to provide students with high quality  teaching support. He raised three hopes: the first one is to find personal goals and persevere; the second is to  cherish the time and take initiative to innovate; the last one is to cultivate the morality and keep the thinking noble,  the unity of knowledge and action. Meanwhile, he suggested that students visit more places in China outside of  studying professional knowledge to experience the real life in China and realize dreams in this gorgeous field that  talents come out in succession

Leaders and teachers of InternationalCollege and EngineeringCollege expect that international students will  obey school disciplines and regulations, make full use of the high-quality  teaching  resources in the school  and study  hard to become an envoy of friendship for their own country and China.

Cui Chenghao, a student representative from South Korea, said he would do his best to study knowledge and Chinese culture with a positive heart. “Since HuzhouUniversity has provided us with such a superior environment, we should study harder, and not live up to the expectations of our home and teachers." a Bangladesh student Ifte  said with emotion.

International students enrolled in HuzhouUniversity this autumn, who are from South Korea, Bangladesh,  Pakistan and other countries, and most will be the first full-time undergraduate  students of mechanical engineering program delivered in English. Compared with the past international students with the main aim of Chinese learning,  this year, our university first tries to recruit degree students with majors, which marks the international exchange andinternational student education work to a new level, further improves our school education internationalization level, and has important significance to the early completion of the regional comprehensive university with high status and profound influence.

After opening ceremony, director of Exit-Entry Administration Bureau  of Huzhou Public Security Bureau,  Liu Minghua, was invited to give a lecture to international students on the Chinese laws and regulations, visas,   security and religious matters for the seminar, and answered the questions of the students to help students adapt to  living and studying in China as soon as possible, so as to know and abide by the law.
