On the afternoon of December 24th, a Christmas party was organized by College of Humanities in room 107, 5th Building, present related leaders from Foreign Affairs Office, International College and College of Humanities, as well as all the foreign students and Class 2012 of Chinese Teaching to Foreigners major students.
The Christmas party started with the famous cheering song Jingle Bells, followed by talent shows of both the Chinese and foreign students. Homebound Fisherman, the Zheng performance by Chinese student Bingyao Xiang and Yuqing Wu won a great applause for demonstrating the beauty of traditional Chinese culture. Foregin student Zijuan Yang performed Jiangjia, the recitation show of the famous chapter from Book of Songs, which fully displayed the deep enthusiasm of all the foreign students for Chinese culture.
The party reached a climax by the Chinese chorus Happy New Year by all the foreign students in preparation class, which also revealed the study achievements they had accomplished throughout the semester. Various games were also taken place in the party, which by creating laughter compressed the distance between the students.
A scholarship award ceremony was held after the party, during which scholarships and subsidies were awarded to foreign students by Jin Zhu, director of Foreign Affairs Office, Jun Du, deputy-dean of International College, as well as Shaofeng Wang, deputy-dean of College of Humanities. Sincere wishes had been given to the students, wishing them to study hard and to be qualified cultural ambassadors.
