November 11th to 12th , the delegation from University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS) Germany visited our university, featuring president Robert Grebner and other 6 representatives. The delegation was welcome warmly by Chair of university council Jianhong Liu, President Zhangjian Hu and Vice-president Yunliang Jiang. Formal meeting concerning cooperation between two universities was held，present persons in charge of Foreign Affairs Office, College of Business, College of Arts, College of Information Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Life Sciences.
During the meeting, Chair Liu highlighted the exciting cooperation agreement signed by our two universities, on which basis programs including Chinese-foreign cooperation project in running schools, exchange of students and teachers, co-operation of Confucius Institute (Chinese-German Institute), as well as collaboration on College of Engineering would be carried forward. He also pointed out that the process of discipline construction and talents cultivation would be accelerated by this visit to upgrade our schooling level.
President Hu gave a brief introduction to our university in recent years, including the development scale, department structure, international communication, talent cultivation and key discipline construction. He pointed out that our university is oriented to higher education internationalization, which gives high importance to applying Chinese-foreign cooperation projects in running schools, as well as general collaboration with universities across the world.
President Grebner of FHWS also gave us an introduction to key disciplines of their university and expressed his faith in cooperating withus on applying Chinese-foreign cooperation projects in running schools and other practical programs including student exchange and teacher visit.
Accompanied by Vice-president Jiang, the delegation had a tour around campus and laboratories of College of Arts, College of Information Sciences, College of Life Sciences and College of Engineering after the meeting.
