Principal and Chief Executive of City College Plymouth UK Visited Our University

13^thJune, Mr．　Phil Davies, Principal　and Chief Executive of City College Plymouth UK visited our university. Mr.Davies attended the Commencement 　Degree Ceremony of the year 2014 held in Music Hall and holding　the tassel turning ceremony for 11 students back from City College Plymouth UK , together　with President Zhangjian Hu of our university. Formal meeting concerning　cooperation between the two　universitieswas　held　afterwards，present　Mr.　Liu　Yang,　vice－president of our university, aswell as heads of Foreign Affairs Office and International　College　attended the  meeting.

Mr. Liu Yang briefly introduced the　recent scale of development, colleges establishment, international exchangesand personnel training of our university . He specially highlighted the vitalmeaning of higher education internationalization,  taking the example of our newly established InternationalCollege which would help further deepenthe exchanges and cooperation between two universities.

Mr.Phil　Davies said that Plymouth　City　College　considers highly of the education cooperation with our university, hoping  to cultivate a broader and closer cooperationrelation, especially aiming to achieve new breakthroughs in broadening theexchange of students and teachers visits.

Discussion on major construction and otherissues was carried in depth subsequently, having reached a consensus in theend.

After the meeting, Mr. Phil　Davies visited the recently completed East Campus dormitory in our universityand attended the closing ceremony of "Students Summer Camp from Plymouth college UK ".
