Five international students from Huzhou University participated in the 11th language mutual assistance and cultural exchange activity with the theme of Feeling My Softness and Life.
本次活动于商学院107教室内开展，随着城市化进程加快和人口增加，流浪动物问题逐渐凸显出来。在beat365体育官网平台，流浪猫无处安居，有时会面临着食物、水源的不足，甚至还遭受虐待和感染疾病的风险。基于猫在各国文化中有不同的地位和象征意义，该主题活动意在以人类与猫的情结为桥梁搭建文化沟通的平台，而这对社会更是意味着人道主义精神的传递。
This event was held in Classroom 107 of the Business School and with the acceleration of urbanization and population growth, the issue of stray animals had gradually become prominent. At Huzhou University, stray cats had nowhere to live and sometimes face shortages of food and water as well as the risk of abuse and infection. Based on the different status and symbolic significance of cats in different cultures, this theme activity aimed to build a platform for cultural communication through the bond between humans and cats, which meant the transmission of humanitarian spirit to society.
活动开始，我们先组织了活动成员间的自我介绍与“你画我猜”的热身活动，让同学们更好的参与到活动中，消除活动成员间的陌生感。之后，由两位主持人介绍了本次活动的主题“感受我的柔软与生命”讲述了猫与湖师院的不解之缘，呼吁大家关注流浪猫的生命安全问题，并展示了beat365体育官网平台里的小猫照片。
At the beginning of the event, we organized a self introduction and a warm-up activity called Draw and Guess among the activity members, allowing students to better participate in the activity and eliminate the sense of unfamiliarity among the members. Then, the two hosts introduced the theme of the event, Feeling My Softness and Life telling the inseparable bond between cats and Huzhou University, calling for everyone to pay attention to the safety issues of stray cats and displaying photos of cats in Huzhou University. The international students also told their own stories with cats and displayed photos of their own cats and the scene was full of warmth.
留学生们也各自讲述了自己与小猫的故事，展示了自己小猫的照片，现场画面充满了温情。最后分发了制作小猫胸针的小礼品给来参加活动的同学，工作人员向留学生们详细耐心地讲述了制作方法。
In the end, small gifts that could be used to make a kitten-shaped brooch were distributed to students who came to participate in this activity and staffs also patiently introduced the production methods to the international students in detail.
大家都非常感兴趣乐意进行尝试，我们都感受到了，同学们对小动物的爱心和善意。
Everyone was interested and willing to give it a try. We felt students’ love and kindness for the animals.
本次活动不仅帮助留学生们更好的学习中国语言，增进湖师院与留学生的友好关系，还让参与者们更多的去关注校园中，甚至是校园外的流浪小动物的生命安全问题。将人道主义精神在社会群体之间更好的传递。
This activity not only helps international students study Chinese better, strengthen the friendly relationship between them and Huzhou University, but also push participants to pay more attention to the living safety problems of stray animals inside and outside the campus. It can do a good in transmitting the spirit of humanism among the whole society groups.
